Engraved plaques from Cova del Parpalló (Gandia, Valencia). IV. Magdalenian.

Vitrina 22
Briefly, in Cova del Parpalló (Gandia, Valencia) two temporary units can be distinguished: an ancient one, which includes different phases of Solutrean and a recent one, which conforms to the Magdalenian. From the Middle Solutrean onwards, the first structured signs of reticulate and disproportionate zoomorphic figures appear. During the Magdalenian, painting disappears and engraving techniques change.
