Quern stone. Tossal de Sant Miquel, Lliria

Tarima molino
The rotational movement of vertical querns was applied since the fifth century B.C. for grinding grain, with the movement of an active stone over a passive one. This technology resulted in a more capable way for grinding than previous ones. The display quern was found in the department 46 of Tossal de Sant Miquel and dates back to the late third century and the early second century B.C.
